Acalypha
A. wilkesiana and A. hispida

Description - A woody shrub native to South Pacific Islands. Prized for attractive, colorful foliage, large leaves and fast growing nature.
Chenille - A. hispida - Native to East Indies. This species produces long, bright red, drooping, tassel-like spikes and is the Acalypha know for its flowers rather than its comparatively subdued bright green leaves.
Tricolor - A. wilkesiana - As the name suggests, this variety produces bronzy green leaves mottled with shades of red and purple.

Alocasia
This is an example of our 8" Alocasia gigantea, but we have different Alocasia available at different times. Ask your sales rep for more details.

Aloe Vera

Asparagus Fern
We sell this plant as Asparagus plumosus but it is also commonly called Asparagus setaceus. It is not really a fern at all, but an ornamental member of the Asparagus genus. Florists use this plant in flower arrangements because of it's light, feathery appearance.

Asparagus 'Sprengeri'
Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri' are excellent as indoor plants and outside in hanging baskets or planted straight into the ground. They tolerate poor soil and dryness.

Banana, Musella lasiocarpa
Musella Lasiocarpa
Suggested uses: One of the rarest bananas in the U.S. The flowers will last almost six months.
Water: The soil should be slightly moist not soggy.
Light: Full sun
Temp: Cold hardy

Breynia disticha, dwarf
B. disticha compacta
Description - This relatively new variant to the pink snow bush family of evergreen tropical shrubs is also known as "Hawaiian-Leaf Flower". The Compact Breynia is characterized by small, mottled, multicolored, ovate leaves, densely set along slender, rosy-red stems that become woodier with age. We are offering the exciting White Compacta in a 4" pot. It is a single stemmed plant 6" to 8" tall with leaves that are primarily a medium green with lots of white, especially on the topmost leaves, where the new growth develops and the plant receives the most light. These plants are a wonderful way to add white to florist arrangements or indoor planter gardens. Outdoors, grow only in tropical climates with high humidity and bright, filtered light. In these optimum conditions, Brenyia can be used as a thick growing hedge or landscape plant.

Breynia nivosa
Also known as Snow Bush.

Burro Tail
(Donkey Tail)
Sedum morganianum

Description - This is a trailing succulent house plant. The thick round leaves are a grayish green color. The leaves are densely placed along the stems to give it a braided look .
Suggested Uses - This can be use as a patio plant or in the house near a window or in a rock garden. It should be hung somewhere, so the stem will trail down. It likes a well drained soil, so if you are going to plant it in another pot, use a rocky soil mixture.

Cultural Information:
Water - This is a succulent so it doesn't need a lot of water. Water when soil gets dry. Fertilize during the summer.
Light - Partial Shade
Temperatures - 20 degrees to 100 degrees
